CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Cordele Police say that they arrested a wheelchair-bound man who pulled out a firearm, and threatened to kill everyone at a doctor's office Wednesday.
Staff and patients at Dr. Kevin Holloway's office on Fourth Avenue in Cordele were shocked when 59 year old Johnny Martin pulled out his gun and threatened "to kill everyone," after the doctor declined to treat him.
CPD says Martin was disarmed by some people inside the office.
Officers arrived and got Martin transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation, but he wasn't finished with his outbursts. Martin got violent because his hospital mattress was too firm, and he assaulted an officer and a staff member.
Martin faces multiple counts of Aggravated Assault and Terroristic threats, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Obstruction, and Simple Battery.
Martin also had warrants issued by the Tifton Police Department.
