Belk in Tifton gears up for tax free weekend

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Stores around south Georgia are gearing up for the tax free weekend.

Belk in Tifton is working to make hectic back-to-school shopping fun.

On Saturday, the store will hold a kid fest featuring a back-to-school fashion show, face painting and other fun activities. 

"It's very important. It's probably our biggest sale that we're have for back-to-school all year long because we'll have great deals with bonus buys. We also have great deals with clearance being an extra 50 percent off. Plus tax free so you really can't get any better than that," said Belk Manager Crystal Reese.

Kidfest will be from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. 

The store will also offer more than 50 doorbuster deals and other sales.
