BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Kids in Decatur County are excited to go back to school now that they have all the supplies they need.
The salvation army handed out school supplies that came from donation centers that were set up at local banks.
Salvation army employees hope this will take the financial burden off many struggling families.
"Not to be able to worry about what am I going to do for my kids when they go back to school. I don't have this and I don't have that," said parent, Koria Caison.
"When they come they give with open hands, they never ask for anything but they are always giving," said Grandparent, Evelyn Sweeting.
This is the first year the salvation army has hosted the school supplies drive but they said they plan to do it again in the future.
