Community holds 'Feed the Blue' luncheon for public servants

BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -

A car club in Bainbridge honored public servants Tuesday. 

Memories Car Club's mission is to give back to the community.

Tuesday they hosted a special lunch giving officers a chance to grab a free meal and socialize on their lunch break.

Officers say the support they received from their community is heartwarming.

"Its emotional, its touching to know that in these trying times with whats going on in the nation that we have people behind us," said Terry Phillips, Investigator with Decatur County Sheriff's Office

The club received donations from Winn-Dixie and Dominos to help with Tuesday's event.
