Robbery suspect steals $200 from Dollar General cash register

"They asked him if there was anything that he needed to get before going to the Thomas county jail and he said yes, his money. A robbery suspect in Thomas County is now in custody.

A man snatched more than $200 from a register at the Dollar General in Ochlocknee on Friday.

Deputies said that Adrain Ziegler reached over the counter, grabbed the money and ran.

Tips came in to the Sheriffs Office that led investigators to Ziegler.

"They asked him if there was anything that he needed to get before going to the Thomas county jail and he said yes, his money. We were able to go back to where he was staying and secure most of the money that was taken," said Investigator Tim Watkins.

Ziegler remains in the Thomas County Jail and is charged with robbery.
