CAIRO, GA (WALB) - Gage Linville Has been racing motocross since he was 3-years-old.
In his 10 years as a racer, he has raked in 38 total national championships. Gage is now training 5-hours per day to race in largest national Amateur event which is less than two weeks away.
As he refines his techniques in Cairo out at Milsaps Training Facility, the Yamaha sponsored racer has his eyes on a third championship out at Loretta Lynn's ranch.
He said the days leading up are going to be critical for his performance.
"You've got to have a good start and good stamina," said Gage. "It's 20 minutes in the heat. The trainers here, they've done everything (to help)."
Gage took a two-year hiatus from the sport, but is planing to come back strong.
"It's just a every day thing," said his father Tommy Linville. "Some people get up and go to work and his job he gets up, comes here, works out in the gym then he goes drive the motorcycle."
The Amateur National Motocross Championship begins august 1st out in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
