Memory care residents at the Legacy Village Senior Living facility in Thomasville are getting a unique shopping experience.

Employees opened a shopping parlor inside the facility so residents don't have to leave to get new items.

They can earn 'Legacy dollars' by participating in programs everyday.

Each dollar allows them to purchase something in the store.

"Memory care residents are unable to go out into the public and purchase. Settings like at Walmart and different stores are overwhelming its too big for them," said Shavoka Mays, Life Enrichment Coordinator.

The shop is items are all donated.

Legacy Village said they are always accepting donations just give them a call.
