ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police are investigating after several shots were fired at Rivercrest Apartments on Don Cutler Senior Drive, Tuesday night around 10:30.

Luckily, no one was hit by the flying bullets, which struck furniture and appliances inside multiple apartments.

Officials said that Albany Police and EMS were dispatched to the scene.

Viewer pictures from the scene show a car with a bullet hole in the driver's side window, and another bullet that appeared to pierce the outside of a building. Officers found several shell casings, and a black gun sight laser on the ground in the rear of the apartment.

APD has statements from several residents describing the gunshots. One woman said her son was in the kitchen when a stray bullet came through her back door and struck the washing machine.

Another said a bullet came through her bed room window, struck the dresser and broke her mirror.  She and her child got down on the floor, and called APD.

Another resident said she heard the master bed window shatter, and saw a bullet hole in her window.
