ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Students can now register for new cybersecurity classes at Albany Tech.

The school is the first technical college in the region to offer the program.

It will teach students the latest concepts and techniques on security of computers and network systems.

"Cybersecurity field is really growing all across the world. It's a big job market. There's tens of thousands of jobs out there and they all start with a pretty decent pay," said Computer Information Systems Instructor Darren Hagler with ATC.

The college is initially offering classes during the day, but is working to add night and online courses.
