ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A burglar went to all the work to bust a hole in a wall of a North Albany industry,but stole nothing. Police say company officials found the hole in the back wall of the Schuff Steel Atlantic building in the 1900 block of Ledo Road about 6:21 Monday morning.
Company officials told Police the burglar went into their workshop area and took a sledge hammer, and used it to break a hole in the cinder block wall of the restroom into the office building.
Company officials say surveillance video showed the burglar go to where they used to have their snack vending machines, and when he saw they had been moved, he left empty handed.
Officials say the damage to the building is estimated to be $3000.
Albany Police are investigating.
