MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - A four-year Moultrie boy earned a certificate from the Moultrie-Colquitt County Library for reading 1000 books before he even enters kindergarten.
Colin Clayton's parents enrolled him in the library's summer reading program in May.
They said that he loves character books like Spiderman and Mickey Mouse.
So far, Colin's parents have read nearly 1,300 books with him.
"Proud. I was shocked. I'm very proud of him. I was shocked. I didn't realize he was the first kid in Colquitt County to read one thousand books. I was shocked to that, but it's awesome," said Colin's parents James and Angela Clayton,
Colin said that he wants to read every book in the library, but his parents have a goal to reach two thousand books.
