SUMTER CO., GA (WALB) - State troopers are reminding drivers to look twice before pulling out into traffic after another serious crash on US 280.
We're still waiting to get the name and condition of a truck driver whose big rig overturned Sunday near the intersection with Lamar Road.
Authorities say 81-year old David Mills pulled in front of that truck off Pecan Road. He's still in critical condition in Macon.
Troopers have useful advice for drivers.
"My suggestion to folks is: look to the left, back to the right, and back to the left again. That way your sight and perception time, you're double-checking before you pull out into traffic," said Sgt. Richard Peck with the Georgia State Patrol.
A truck driver died at the same intersection in late June when a driver pulled out in front of him. No charges have been announced in that crash.
