DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - Now may be a good time for you to buy a house or refinance your mortgage. Mortgage rates are near record lows.
Real estate brokers say home prices in Dougherty County are rising slightly, but they're still relatively low.
That combined with low interest rates can lead to good deals.
"There's so many benefits to having, you know capturing a good interest rate because that makes a world of a difference in your monthly payments," said Hughey Walker, owner of Hughey & Neuman Co.
The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate is hovering around 3.4 percent.
