ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Folks were carting books out by the dozen at the Dougherty County public Library on Dawson road at a summer book sale.

The Northwest Library is about to go through a renovation and is liquidating books to create room.

Folks were lined up 30 minutes before they opened today.

"We have years and years of donated materials," said assistant director Wanda Brown. "But we need the space for the renovations so we just need to clear the building."

The sales will continue each Friday from 2:00 to 5:30 PM until August 26th.
