ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Area YMCA took part in National Summer Learning Day Thursday.
It highlights the importance of keeping kids learning safe and healthy when they're out of school. The Y has summer programs to help make sure students are prepared to return to school.
"We play games, we play sports games and the children love to keep their minds going." said YMCA child care director Maxine Robertson. "And what we instill in them makes them a better person and ready for school."
The Y continues with after school programs through the academic year as well.
