ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Police Department investigated an aggravated assault in the 600 block of North Davis Street, just after 10:00 last night.

Bobby McMillian, 22, was baby-sitting young relatives, when several people came to his residence to start a fight with him, he said.

He called his uncle Demetris Tolson to come and pickup his kids.

When Tolson arrived on the scene, he told police his nephew walked past his van, he heard several gunshots, and McMillian came walking back to the van, bleeding from his chest area.

Tolson transported McMillian to the emergency room, where he was admitted in to the hospital.

This case was turned over to the Albany Police Department’s Gang Unit for further investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
