THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) - It is still summer break but folks are already enrolling their children for the upcoming school year.
The first day of school in Thomas County is August 1.
As the countdown begins, the enrollment office is getting busier.
In order to enroll children, parents need bring the following documents, a birth certificate, shot records, proof of address and a social security card or a signed wavier if parents don't have that on file.
The Thomas County enrollment office is located on the campus of the Thomas County Board of Education at 200 N. Pinetree Blvd.
They are open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Beginning the week of July 25, they will revert back to the regular school year hours which are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
