ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany teenager has been charged with burglary and criminal trespass, accused of living in an academic building at Darton College.

Tyrek Anderson is accused of stealing money and a bag out of a professor's office.

Albany State University Police said that Anderson is a former Darton student but was not enrolled on June 30, when the theft was reported.

Police said that a check of surveillance video at Building F, the Arts and Humanity building, showed Anderson was staying in the building.

They don't know for how long.

"Yes, he was seen before living in the F building where he actually, that he did the crime in.  And he was seen there before, living there, having his personal items in that building," said Lt. Marcus Guess with the Albany State Police.

ASU police are now on the job at Albany State and Darton College.

They said that both campuses have full coverage of surveillance cameras.
