BLAKELY, GA (WALB) - Technology plays an important role in the lives of kids these days at home and at school.
The Early County School system is working to integrate more technology in their classrooms to help kids learn.
They have more than 400 chrome books, plus a number of smart boards and computer labs.
This year they hope to add more computers and better computer programming especially for elementary students.
Will Jester is the Federal Programs Director for Early County schools.
"I have been in education 28 years," said Jester. "I have seen the benefits of the advances in technology in the past ten years alone. I think some students just benefit more from the technology avenues and opportunities than others."
The system wants feedback from parents before making decisions for the upcoming school year.
Parents are encouraged to attend a school improvement team meeting Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the Early County Middle school.
