ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Officials released the identification of body that was found in a wooded area off Seabrook Drive in Sylvester.
Worth County Sheriff Jeff Hobby said the body was that of Maurice Curry, 38, of Sylvester.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called to assist the Worth Co. Sheriff's Office with a death investigation.
Curry's body was found at about 3 a.m. Sunday.
Officials also say the body was at the location for a few days before it was discovered.
The body was taken to the GBI's Crime Lab in Macon where an autopsy will be performed.
The Worth County Coroner, John Johnson, said Curry died of natural causes.
The coroner's office is working to identify those causes.
Curry played football for the Worth County Rams in the 1990's
