TIFTON, GA (WALB) - As the temperatures rise, South Georgians find ways to cool down.
The Tifton YMCA saw an uptick in people coming to their outdoor pools.
They said if you're outside, drink lots of water or gatorade, eat foods with natural sugar and wear lots of sunscreen.
"Don't get lost in getting a tan, and getting in the pool, oh it's hot. you know let me go jump in real fast. Make sure you know where your kids are," said YMCA Aquatics Director Evann Todd.
Also remember to watch kids closely at all times around water.
