The Thomasville and Thomas County Drug Commission held a meeting to discuss the future of the drug squad department.
Commander Louis Schofill spoke about tactic changes when catching drug operations.
He said that drug dealers no longer keep their pockets filled and wait around on the streets. "Instead, they are covert, which means the agents must stay on top of their operation methods," he said.
Schofill mentioned working with surrounding law enforcement agencies to cut off drug suppliers.
The commission also brought to light the discovery of 35 illegal phones within the nearby prison.
