Hassan McAllister, 44, was found shot by police in a West Gordon Avenue apartment parking lot around 1:15 a.m. Sunday. He died later at the hospital.

An autopsy was done on Tuesday in Macon. Police will only say that McAllister was shot once in the stomach.

They are asking for people in the community to give them more information about the homicide so they can get the shooter off the streets.

"We got to stop these senseless murders. We got to put the guns down, and take care of each other. We know it's troubled times in the world now," said Lt. Keithen Hall with the Albany Police Department.

McAllister was part owner of Spoonie's Barber Shop.

Police said in their investigation that they have found him to be a well liked person, with no enemies. He is the seventh homicide victim in Albany this year.
