ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Georgia motorists saved 50 cents per gallon thanks to low gas prices.
Some gas pumps in Albany were under 2 dollars.
In the past week, GasBuddy's data showed prices in Georgia average $2.12, down more than 3 cents a gallon in a week.
That is still much lower than the national average. Albany residents plan to take advantage.
"I go on different sides of town. I compare the gas prices. Over here, it's 1.99 and the other places are like 1.98, 1.96. But whenever I get low. I always try to keep it full while the gas prices are low," said Tina Marcus. "I wish the prices would be reflect all across the country," said Joe Young.
So far, this summer saw the cheapest prices on Memorial Day and the Fourth of July. Prices could dip again around Labor Day.
