CRISP CO., GA (WALB) - All of the camp grounds were full and the restaurant was busy during the July Fourth celebration at the Georgia Veterans State Park on Lake Blackshear Monday.
And the Lady Liberty cruise boat went out for the fireworks as well.
The park only charged a $5 parking fee for each car.
"All total on Sunday, we had about 8,000 people here; 8,000 and some change. This is pretty much our Black Friday. It's our biggest weekend of the year," said Jeb Bell with the Georgia Veterans State Park.
Bell said the best July 4th holidays come when the holiday falls on a Friday or Saturday.
Their record was about 12,000 people a few years ago.
