ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two people were arrested on Meth charges Friday in Lowndes County.
Acting on a tip, investigators stopped a vehicle being driven by Jana Horton and found several hundred dollars of Methamphetamine. They searched her Race Track Road house and found $1,800 worth of Methamphetamine.
Rueben Ortiz, who lives there was not home at the time of the search, but was arrested later in the day.
Horton and Ortiz were taken to the Lowndes County Jail.
"This is another great example of information from the public pushing these investigations forward. Safe communities are a joint effort of law enforcement and citizens. The Special Operations Division did a fantastic job in this case taking that information and acting upon it. Simply said, we need the public's assistance. Great work to all involved," said Sheriff Chris Prine.
