BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Bainbridge Public Safety is hoping that everyone stays safe during the Fourth of July festivities.
In previous years, there have been calls for accidents involving grills and fireworks.
Bainbridge Fire said that if you are cooking with a grill you should be extra cautious.
"With charcoal grills, when they get through using it, the coals still remain hot several hours afterward. Keep small children away, don't let them put their hands on the grill or touch it," said Fire Chief Doyle Welch.
Now that fireworks are legal they also want to make sure that there is always an adult present when kids are using any sort of sparkler or firework during the holiday celebrations.
