ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Police say they will be out in force during the Fourth of July night's fireworks celebration in downtown Albany. Chief Michael Persley says they want everyone to enjoy the Fourth of July holiday, but he urges children to stay with their parents during the celebration.
"If you come as a family, you leave as a family", said Chief Michael Persley."
"Most of all, if you see something, say something to someone. We will be out and about. And we just want everyone to have a good, safe holiday weekend."
Chief Persley also urged people to not drink and drive, because his officers will have a zero tolerance for drunk drivers on the Fourth.
