ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany woman spoke out about her recent experience as the target of a scam.

Sandra Medlock wants you to be on the lookout for con artists claiming to be from the IRS.

Scam artists called her several times, claiming she owed back taxes and needed to pay up.

"It's kind of insulting if they think that seniors are more gullible than say young people are," said Medlock.

This is a common scam that is going around, often targeting senior citizens.

The IRS will never call you directly demanding any sort of payment.
