DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - Douglas Police and the Georgia Department of Parole arrested a man Thursday, and have charged him with two armed robberies.
49 year old Craig Edwin Bell was taken into custody at Community Supervision Services on Ward Street in Douglas.
Last Saturday, officers From the Douglas Police Department responded to an Armed Robbery at the Flash Foods on North Peterson Avenue in Douglas.
The next day, they responded to a second Armed Robbery at Clyde's Market on the Willacoochee River. Witnesses reported seeing a man at both locations wearing similar clothing.
He entered both locations in the same manner, placing his right hand in his jacket pocket, as if he had a weapon, and demanded money. Both clerks gave him their money.
Bell was charged with two counts of Armed Robbery and is currently being held in the Coffee County Jail.
