ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Advocacy Resource Center has a new facility.

ARC bought the former Sherwood Christian School on Stuart Avenue.

The new site will house its child development center, which provides services to about 25 children with developmental disabilities.

The organization was looking for a site that would allow them to expand to 40 students.

"Awe well we're very excited. We're just thrilled to have had the opportunity to work this out and acquire this property. It's an ideal property for us," said Advocacy Resource Center Executive Director Sonny Slate.

ARC also plans to offer after school and summer camp programs at the new site.
