ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

After a 500 mile bicycle ride from Mississippi, a cyclist peddled into Albany Wednesday night.

Josh Fleming is on the Great Cycle Challenge to raise money to help children with cancer.

He wanted to make Albany his destination so he could visit Sherwood Baptist Church.

Fleming always wanted to give back and saw this as an opportunity to do so.

"I've had a lot going through my mind where I wanted to give up but I know that I can't and I'm not going to so," said Fleming.

Fleming will turn around and ride another 500 miles back to Mississippi.

He wants others to take up the challenge.

People can follow Fleming's journey or make a donation on his 'Great Cycle Challenge' page.
