CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Farmers at the market in Cordele said that the season has been slow, so far for watermelons.
The sheds are still packed though, and growers and pickers look to make a little extra cash.
The Fourth of July weekend is always a big weekend for the Farmer's Market.
One farmer said that they have everything you could want out there.
"You can find all kinds of watermelons: seedless, red seedless, seeded red ones, yellow seedless, seeded yellow ones, cantaloupe, tomatoes, peaches, apricots - anything you could want really," said seller Will Williford.
The market is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
