ALBANY, GA (WALB) - As the busy Fourth of July weekend approaches, Albany Police are urging residents to make sure their celebration is a safe one.
They want people to be extra cautious if their driving on busy roads.
Heavy traffic, impaired drivers, speeders and distracted drivers can create serious dangers for everyone.
"Be aware that law enforcement is going to be out making sure roads are safe," said Patrolman Rogelio Diaz with the Albany Police Department.
State and local law enforcers will be out in large numbers looking for violators over the holiday weekend.
