Her 14-year-old half brother is being charged with murdering her.

He said the shooting was an accident.

Police said that's possible, and family members have asked for the charges to be dropped.

But on Monday night, organizers of a vigil said that it was all about honoring Kadijah and her unborn baby who was also killed.

They sang and prayed, lit candles and released balloons.

"I just want to thank each and every one for what you did. If it wasn't for y'all we don't where would be at this morning, I mean this evening. You know cause everybody just come together on this tragedy," said Kadijah's grandfather Michael McKinley.

The family is asking for prayers for her half-brother.

He was arrested last week on several charges, including murder and feticide.

He is now free on bond as prosecutors review the case and determine how to proceed.
