THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

The Thomasville Police Department is looking for information tonight on string of air unit thefts.

They say a man is posing as a contractor illegally purchasing AC units at other businesses expense.

It's a crime that was first reported by CC-DIXON in Albany and then again by their branch in Thomasville.

Each AC unit costs about 19-hundred dollars.

Police say this suspect could have been a former employee of the company.

"It's my belief he was employed at some point these two companies that he used, that's more than likely the way he gathered the intimate knowledge that's probably been apart of ordering this type of equipment," said Captain Maurice Holmes.

If you have any information on this you are encouraged to call Thomasville Police.
