PAVO, GA (WALB) - A 44-year-old tree trimmer in Pavo was killed in a fall while he was working.
Deputies say Adam Woodard was cutting a tree down at a home on Pear Street Wednesday night around 9 o'clock when the tree fell on the bucket he was in and caused him to fall to the ground.
"It was just a freak accident, it was dark. Basically I don't think its a good idea to be cutting trees down at nine o'clock at night," said J.B. Wheeler, Brooks County Sheriff's Office.
911 was called immediately.
EMS arrived quickly, but paramedics say the man was already dead from head injuries.
