ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A football-loving Albany boy struggling with terminal diseases and his family have to move to Texas.

10-year-old Michael Stephens suffered a stroke a few moths ago and is now dealing with potentially fatal blood clots.

No hospitals in this region could handle his complex problems which includes DiGeorge syndrome.

Michael's mother Kay Stephens asks for the public's thoughts and prayers.

"He's at high risk for a major heart attack, high risk for a major stroke until we can get some of these issues fixed. And some of them just may need treatment, they may never be fixed. So time is of the essence," said Stephens.

Those who wish to help the family with medical and moving expenses can visit the family's GoFundMe page.
