This week teachers in Thomas County are acting as students, learning lessons in the classroom.

A grant the county received earlier this month allows for the growth of a computer science and technology program within the schools.

Elementary and Middle School teachers are taking part in the 'Project lead the way' training everyday this week.

The training is meant for teachers to learn hands on lessons they will be teaching their students

"So there, they have gone through everything the students will have experienced, so they can answer the questions better with the students and they can be a facilitator of learning," said Jennifer Kruse, Associate Director for Project Lead The Way.

Thomas County will start to implement these new STEM based lessons this year starting as early as Kindergarten.
