THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Southwest Georgia blood donation centers have continued to stay busy with people who want to donate in response to the Orlando shooting.

The donation centers have heightened the need for O-blood type donations as well A-B plasma.

A lot of the blood was taken from regional centers near Orlando to provide help for the victims.

On Monday, OneBlood set up in Thomasville to take donations at Southern Regional Technical College.

"Well its wonderful because all of our local blood comes from the community blood bank so when we go into the hospital whether its ourselves, family members, friends, member of the community. We know that we're helping individuals with life and death matters," said Claudia Grooms with Southern Regional Technical College.

Anybody who didn't get the chance to donate on Monday, the bus will be at the Moultrie Southern Regional Technical College campus on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
