ASHBURN, GA (WALB) -

Cleanup continues where dozens of trees are down following a weekend storm. The entire city lost power for several hours Friday night when strong winds knocked down power lines.

Public works crews spent Monday cutting up and picking up some of the downed trees. The director said cleanup will likely last all week.

“Dogwood trees have been uprooted in different areas and stuff like that. So we got about 4 or 5 trucks out right now along with other equipment picking up all that debris and stowing it out to a landfill out on Story Street,” said Public Works Director Willie Rainey.

There were no reports of damage to cars or homes.
