The parents of Kendrick Johnson, whose body was found rolled up in a gym mat in a Lowndes County gym three years ago, are having a meeting with federal prosecutors in Macon.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Kenneth and Jackie Johnson, who have proclaimed for years that the official version of their son's death was ridiculous, are present for the afternoon conference, with attorneys for the Middle District of Georgia.
The "KJ" case became a case celeb in Valdosta and South Georgia, with law suits flying, and multiple news conferences since the young man's body was found.
The family dropped a $100 million wrongful death lawsuit against the Lowndes County Board of Education in February.
