Animal shelters across the country are coming together to find homes for pets belonging to Orlando shooting victims.
The Pixel Fund organization reached out to humane societies on Facebook, urging folks to consider temporarily fostering pets of people killed or injured at the Pulse nightclub.
The Moultrie-Colquitt County Humane Society shared the post, and Director Dawn Blanton says those who volunteer can coordinate with the Pixel Fund to determine how to connect with a pet.

"It's almost like you have a little piece of them through that animal. And a lot of people, they don't want to see that animal get thrown into a shelter because they know how important that animal was to that loved one," said Dawn Blanton of the Moultrie-Coluitt Co. Humane Society
