MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -
The annual Moose Moss invitational brought out teams from as far as Ohio down to Moultrie.
Over 60 divers participated in the event over this past weekend.
The Moultrie-based Moss Farms diving team played host at the Moose Moss Aquatic center. The Diving Tigers had 22 athletes compete, and at the highest level Chase Lane swept the meet.
The Tallahassee native won the synchronized competition as well as placed first in the 1 meter, 3 meter and platform.
Head coach Chris Heaton said this meet is a tune up for a couple national meets on the horizon.
"It was great having Ohio State down and Kentucky dive club down and some other teams," said coach Heaton. "But individually it was just kind of a benchmark for us to be able to see where we're at getting ready to gear up for nationals."
Lane placed 13th at nationals last year, and is looking to build on this performance to place higher.
"I have some great coaches and they've been preparing me this entire time this whole year," said Lane. "And we're going to keep diving, I'm not going to stop. I'm going to come every day and work my hardest."
From July 3rd through the 10th the team will be in College Station, Texas competing for the zone championship meet.
In August Moultrie will play host to the national championship meet.
