ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Motorcycle riders came together to honor a Lee County veteran killed in Iraq. The annual event honors Steve Sutton—a Marine who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The ride ended at the VFW building on Philema. A large group took part in the event that included a raffle and other prizes. Sutton's father said this support is overwhelming.

“These runs like this help support my son. And it makes you feel a lot better that everyone cares,” said Sutton’s father, Gene Sutton.

Riders also played corn hole at the event Saturday afternoon. There is a permanent statue in Sutton's tribute set up at the courthouse.
