WALB receives merit awards at GABBY Awards Banquet

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

WALB was named as the '2016 Georgia Association of Broadcasters Station of the Year'.

General Manager Jim Wilcox accepted the award Friday night at the annual GABBY Awards Banquet.

WALB's "Honoring our Military Heroes" special also won for best locally produced non-news program.

The station received merit awards for community service, best commercial, and best promotional spot.
