Annual memorial ride for fallen Albany Marine returns Saturday

LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Bikers will rev their engines again Saturday in honor of Albany veteran Steve Sutton. 

Registration for the event will start at 9 a.m. at the Lee County Courthouse in Leesburg.

The bikes will head out at 10 a.m.

Sutton lost his life in Afghanistan 3 years ago.

He was the first marine to die from Lee County to die in the Afghan conflict.

"This is the 4th year it doesn't seem like it because time flies. It seems like year after year it gets bigger and bigger," said Gene Sutton, Steve's father.

The event had over 110 bikes last year alone.
