MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

A Colquitt County woman is facing 13 counts of forgery, after investigators say she used a man's credit card while he was in the hospital.

Pamela Weeks was arrested Thursday morning.

Weeks had been a caretaker for Guadelupe Cerda, until Cerda was admitted to the hospital.

Cerda's daughter, Maria Roman, said Weeks had her father's debit card, and found a total of 46 charges on the card-- while he was in the hospital.

A relative of Weeks told officers that she used Cerda's debit card to make several purchases at the behest of Pamela Weeks, saying they had permission to use the card.

She said they sent approximately $1,800 in money orders to Mr. Cerda's daughter, Roman, plus a wire transfer to Roman, to purchase an airplane ticket for her to get to Moultrie from Arizona.

Weeks is also charged with financial transaction card fraud and exploitation of an elder.
