ALBANY, GA (WALB) - New and expecting moms now have special parking at the Miriam Worthy Women's Health Center in Albany.
Peach State Health plan dedicated the special spots on Wednesday.
The parking spaces allow new moms and mothers-to-be easier access to the health center when they're receiving care.
The center specializes in services to women, even if they aren't able to pay for medical care.
"It would allow the women who are expecting to be able to, or who have already delivered to have the ability to access the front entrance of the door, of the building without having to walk very far," said CEO for Albany Area Primary Health Care Shelley Spires.
The center currently has three OB/GYN's, four midwives and 17 patient exam rooms.
