MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

A man is recovering after he was airlifted to Tallahassee, following a two car wreck on South Main Street in Moultrie about 11:30AM Wednesday.

The Moultrie Police incident report says that Harrison Gregory Isaacs was ejected when his Toyota Tundra collided with a black Dodge Charger, driven by Nieves Dulce Cruz-Lara.

Traffic was blocked on 1st and 4th Avenues as police investigated and cleaned up the scene.

Three witnesses told officers that Cruz-Lara did not stop at the stop sign, and struck Isaacs' truck, which was knocked upside down by the impact. A helicopter landed in the street to remove Isaacs.

"With it being a heavy traffic area, unfortunately there are a lot of motor vehicle crashes in this area," said Deputy Chief Rob Rodriguez with the Moultrie Police Department.

Cruz-Lara was cited by police for failure to stop at a stop sign, and having the wrong class of drivers license.
